The Resolutions Tool "Accepted" cases are processed by Airbnb CX ONLY.
The Resolutions Tool "Involve Airbnb" mediation cases are processed by the Trip Team ONLY.
The Community Response Team also uses "Accepted" and "Involve Airbnb" cases as part of their investigation - see here for more info.
Quick Facts:
The tool does not process payments.
When a user accepts a request, it automatically creates a ticket for CX to manually process the payment.
If Tom is requesting/offering money to Jane:
1. Tom sends request to Jane
2. Once Jane performs any action (i.e. responds in Resolution Center, Accepts, Declines or Offers a Different Amount), then Tom can Involve Airbnb.
3. If 72 hours elapses with no response from Jane, then Tom will be prompted if he would like to Involve Airbnb.
4. Jane will not be able to Involve Airbnb, until she has performed an action
